In 2022, I found out that my dad was in Stage 5 kidney failure and needed a kidney transplant. Seeing my father, who is also my best friend, go through his hardships made me extremely anxious and scared during that time. However, through constant advocacy between me, family members, and friends, we were able find a match for my dad. Little did we know, his match was found within our own family. My cousin, Arryn, was able to donate his kidney to my dad, and because of this, I get to enjoy having my dad in my life for much longer.
