November: Rev. Damon Lynch Jr. Featured in 2023 Calendar.

As a longtime member of the UC Health Board, I became involved in LifeCenter as a part of my board responsibility. For ten or fifteen years, I prayed at the flag raising in the circle at University Hospital. Many of my congregants at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church have donated and received organs over the years.

When many members of the Black community believed that it was unbiblical to donate an organ, the New Jerusalem Baptist Church held an open-air service at Fountain Square, at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, to promote organ donation. Hundreds of people attended, and it helped to tell the truth about donation. I say to all who might be skeptical, don’t be. God has given us life and if, at all possible you could be a donor, do it.

– Rev. Damon Lynch Jr.
