“Levi was born with a birth defect affecting his intestines. We were given the option to let him pass away or try for a small bowel transplant and eventually, a liver transplant as well. We chose the latter. He was listed for a small bowel/liver transplant at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital when he was four months old.
At eight months old, Levi received a small bowel, liver, and pancreas transplant from a donor hero. He’s done exceptionally well since and has grown up like a normal kid.
We are grateful to his donor and their family that chose to give life. Without that choice, we could not have our son today growing into an adult.”
