On December 13, 2019, I donated my kidney to a stranger at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The transplant was considered a “more than perfect match.” I only know that the person who received my kidney is from the local area, and most importantly, healthy. Since donating, I’m also healthy. I would encourage anyone who is able to consider donating their kidney to give someone a second chance at life.

My daughter was diagnosed with kidney disease at the age of 22. Now at the age of 28, she has been stable until her kidney function started to decline. She needs a kidney donor as soon as possible.
