Gary S. Holland, Donor in Spirit

My husband was not a believer in donating for the longest time. We were married 20 years of our 22 years together. I have always believed in donation and when he asked me why, my reply was simple, “because I won’t need it when I die and God will make me whole again. So why not.” He eventually came around to the idea and was on the donor list for several yrs before his passing.

He had a blood clot rupture a portion of his colon and became terribly septic from it. Gary fought a hard battle for 7 weeks and was not able to win against the sepsis. When he was actively passing, the sepsis had ravaged his body so severely that he was unable to physically donate anything. BUT I received a beautiful honorary donor status and have been able to become a part of this wonderful community.

Thank you for the second chances you are able to afford people through this blessed organization.

Alison Holland, wife of Gary.

She lives in Waynesburg, Kentucky.
