Brenda Sue Ward, Organ Donor

Brenda, my sister, who attended Beech Street Christian Church in Ashland, KY, was a medical social worker and had a true servants heart. She was always buying food, clothing, whatever the need was for patients and their families she encountered at the hospital.

One time that really upset her, was when an elderly patients’ spouse was in the hospital in his sock feet in winter. Of course, we were shopping that evening and she bought him 2 or 3 pairs of socks and shoes.

I’m sharing this story with you so you might realize what an amazing person she was. Warmth radiated from her. She was also an organ donor. Once again she is serving others just as Jesus did.

We don’t worry about where Brenda is; WE KNOW she is in heaven. We don’t hope she is in heaven as Billy preached last Sunday, we know she is with Jesus.

As I play this song, please think of someone with a servants heart and what they have done for you or what you could do for others to share your heart.

-Debra Ward Caudill, Brenda’s sister

She lives in Morehead, Kentucky.
